The former Super Bowl champion believes that the GOAT played a crucial role in his development. During the roundtable discussion following Capital One ‘The Match’ golf exhibition, Mahomes, Brady, Aaron Rodgers, and Josh Allen indulge in an intriguing conversation. The Chiefs superstar talks about his early influences as a young NFL rookie and how former Chiefs teammate and QB Alex Smith took him under his wing. But Mahomes doesn’t stop there and revealed one more influential person, and it was the Buccaneers quarterback.

While talking about his growth as an NFL player, Mahomes refers to Brady, stating, “I think just like when I was talking about Tom (Brady) talking to me, I think the biggest thing he said was ‘You’re doing it the right way.’…He just said, ‘Hey, you’re doing the right way. Just keep it up.’ And so that for me showed that the hard work that I’ve been putting in was the right thing. I need to keep doing it. Do more of it.
