One of the most sacred relationships in the NFL is that of a coach and a QB. Following their win earlier this year, the Chiefs HC and QB pairing became one of the best partnerships to have graced the gridiron. Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid headed into their 3rd Super Bowl together and would walk out with their 2nd Super Bowl title in 5 years.

This has prompted numerous odes and positive comments about the other from both sides. The Netflix documentary aided in a peak inside their relationship at the Kansas City Chiefs. But in one of the latest reveals, Mahomes would share an insight into the kingmaker that would bode well for the rookies.

The Chiefs captain and QB has developed into one of the most formidable players in the NFL. His performances and records have pushed him into the conversation of best QB ever alongside Brady and others. But none of it would have been possible without the help of his coach and compatriot, Andy Reid.

In the latest declaration and revealing news, he shared what it was that helped him get where he is now, and could help the rookies coming through. Mahomes would advise the youngsters, “If you’re able to get thru an Andy Reid training camp, you can get thru an NFL season.” Following the NFL 2023 draft, the captain QB will have quite a few rookies in the upcoming season alongside him. The likes of Rashee Rice and Wanya Morris being among the many selected, could do worse than to listen to the top QB in the league.

Andy Reid’s coaching sessions are rumored to be one of the toughest in the entire NFL. But the man in the dugout holds more than one side to his name beyond the coach persona he dons during the season. The past off-season dropped a couple of moments for the fans and the NFL world into Andy Reid’s personal life.

It is a tradition for the Super Bowl champions to visit the White House with the trophy. But it would coincide with the loss of one of their pioneers during their visit. While taking the podium, Reid would break into tears as he honored and remembered football’s first lady. The humane moment was something that fans have rarely witnessed but it wouldn’t be the last.

As the Chiefs lined up for the NFL ring ceremony, Andy Reid would catch the attention of the reporters outside. When asked why he wasn’t wearing the Super Bowl ring, he’d point to his wedding ring instead. His answer would warm the hearts of the fans and the reporters present, as he pointed his wedding ring is the Super Bowl ring.

Reid may not have a dynasty to rival Bill Belichick just yet, but he has performed his magic with more than one QB. The ode by his QB will go quite some distance in cementing his name as one of the best coaches.
