Patrick Mahomes Warns Chiefs’ Offense to ‘Keep an Eye’ On This Dallas Cowboys Star During Sunday Night Fixture

Kansas City Chiefs have seemingly found their footing in the AFC Championships once again. The once written off franchise of the season put on a dominant display against Las Vegas Raiders. They beat them 41-14, and quarterback Patrick Mahomes was in the thick of it. But he faces an even bigger test when he goes up against Dallas Cowboys.

The Cowboys have looked ridiculously impressive this season. Not only have the usual names like Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott shone this season, fresh faces have emerged, and they are taking the league by storm. One of those names is cornerback Trevon Diggs. Picked up in the second round of the 2020 Draft, the CB has impressed many with his rapid performances.

Not only is he a menacing threat on the field, but he his stats are simply stunning. He has the highest interceptions in the league with eight, two of which he converted into six points. On the other side of things, Patrick Mahomes has thrown TEN interceptions, second behind Joe Burrow and Sam Darnold (tied for eleven). Of course, Mahomes had to warn the Chiefs’ offense about the threat names Diggs during a press conference.

“I mean, when you have that many interceptions, that means you know what’s going on. You have an understanding of what the offense is trying to do, so you definitely have to have an eye on him at all times. He’s going to wait for his opportunity and usually when he gets his hands on it, he ends up making the catch so definitely a great player, someone you have to pay attention to on every single snap and try to find ways that you can have success in either other places or on him in certain areas.”

Mahomes regained his form after he threw five touchdown passes against the Raiders. The Chiefs amassed 41 points, a number we’ve seen them hit only once this season.
