Now that the 2021 season is over; Kansas City Chiefs’ own Patrick Mahomes is having a quality life. Instead of taking some days off, the quarterback chose to take part in one of his University games; as he showed up at the Texas Tech Red Raiders versus the Baylor Bears basketball game on Wednesday.

Texas Tech hosted Mahomes, one of their most esteemed Alma Mater and likewise, a significant patron of the Red Raiders Team. The QB’s fiancé, Brittany Matthews, also joined him at the United Supermarkets Arena in Lubbock, Texas.

The moment Patrick Mahomes entered the arena, the crowd of Lubbock hailed him with a cheerful welcome. The Red Raiders athletes and fans adore the Quarterback and were electrified to watch him at the game.

Being a sports fan and a dignified supporter of all the university sports teams, he showcases major support towards them via social media; Patrick Mahomes was all euphoric and charged up at the courtside during the basketball game whenever the Red Raiders scored.

Although Baylor picked up a lead in the initial quarter, the Red Raiders made a tremendous comeback and pulled off the sweep by 83-73.

This is not the first time the Chiefs QB appeared at his university games; as he attended the Red Raiders versus Michigan State Spartans Final Four game back in 2019. The Red Raiders entered the finals by defeating the Spartans in the match. The cameras spotted Mahomes as he was flexing his physique.

Patrick Mahomes is having a young and illustrious career with a good 2021 season having 17 games, 13 interceptions, 4,839 yards, 37 touchdowns, and AFC Conference runners-up as per stats. The athlete is a 1-time Super Bowl Champion, Super Bowl LIV MVP, and a 2018 MVP.

However; the athlete is now a target on social media. Netizens are calling out the athlete and his fiancé, Brittany. In a video posted on Twitter, we can see the Quarterback chatting with her after moving his hand away, to which she looked bothered and made some faces.

However, Patrick responded with a tweet defending her fiancé stating, “Man people are weird… love you babe [Brittany Matthews].” Brittany responded to her tweet by replying, “I love you.”

It is unclear what interaction they had with each other. The couple is not new to this situation as they have encountered some social media backlash and trolls in earlier times.
