Bill Belichick has been the coach of the New England Patriots for 22 seasons. He has brought them a huge success since he took over in 2000. Belichick is currently 70 years old, and questions have been ever-present about when he’d retire from the HC position.
Recently on the Rich Eisen show, Tom Curran, a Patriots insider, made an appearance. He asks about his opinion on how the Belichick era will end in New England. Curran was honest about what he thinks will happen with Bill Belichick and the Patriots.

He said, “Bill at 70 with the resume that he has feel as if he’s putting me on notice here, he’s saying I better perform or else. So I think that’s worth watching is as media members and people who follow the league what is the undercurrent of the relationship between ownership and Bill Belichick as Robert continues into his 80s and Bill is into his 70s, all the accomplishments they have…”
Tom Curran believes that Belichick will not instantly quit the position. He instead believes that Belichick will inform the owners about his plans.
Curran added, “He hasn’t communicated to anyone his intentions to leave, and I think the supposition is within the organization at the very highest levels that Bill is Bill will let us know he’s not going to just say yeah I’m cleaning up my desk today I’m out of here he would he would let them know.”
