Tedy Bruschi stated, “The first time I really noticed that there was a different Tom was probably in the Super Bowl versus the uh Carolina Panthers because we couldn’t stop Carolina in the second half because we were gassed.” That was when Bruschi saw that Brady had the rare ability to take over the game and make a difference for the team.

Del Homme had us figure it out and Tom Brady just ended up picking us up, so that’s when you start to see like, all right he is ready to just take over the team and become MVP type of player all the way to 07 [Super Bowl] when he’s throwing I think it’s 50 touchdown passes and it’s just absurd,” per Bruschi.
