The 2020 NFL offseason is turning out to be quite a peculiar affair. A raging pandemic, short preseason schedule, and multiple player opt-outs are just a few of the highlights from the last six months.
Patrick Mahomes became the highest-paid quarterback in NFL history while George Kittle bagged a record deal with the San Francisco 49ers. Players were forced to train indoors amid the rampant spread of the Coronavirus plague.
Teams were forced to cut down rosters in order to deal with the current economic strain. The NFL franchise, Philadelphia Eagles, found a new way to tackle the financial constraints. They have now signed the league’s first work-from-home quarterback in the form of veteran Josh McCown.
