Patrick Mahomes just seems magical this year. Probably the biggest event this year in his life will most definitely be the birth of his second child. And while he might be stuck at training camp, the rest of his family is celebrating the imminent arrival of its newest member.

Patrick Mahomes’ wife and Kansas City Current owner, Brittany Mahomes, threw a baby shower yesterday. Attended by her friends and family, the event was no doubt a splendid occasion. What we know of the event stems mostly from the stories she posted on her Instagram page, and from Randi Mahomes’ post.

Quite a few of Brittany Mahomes’ close friends seemed to attend the party, as evident from all the joyful photos they clicked with her.

Brittany Mahomes is a former professional soccer player, who now co-owns the Kansas City Currents, a women’s soccer club. She and the other owners recently created history by starting construction on the world’s first football stadium dedicated to a women’s club. She is also a fitness trainer and owns ‘Brittany Lynne Fitness’.

Her husband is Kansas City Chiefs star quarterback and Super Bowl winner Patrick Mahomes. Mahomes is one of the best QBs in the NFL right now, and his season so far, to an extent, represents this. Although the Chiefs are 4-2, their 2 losses were close upsets against the Indianapolis Colts and the Buffalo Bills. Nevertheless, the Chiefs are already a championship-contending team in many people’s eyes.

The couple got married in 2020, and have a daughter, Sterling. Like his wife, Patrick Mahomes also has a minority stake in the MLB franchise, the Kansas City Royals.

Even with an event of such importance, it seems Patrick Mahomes has opted to skip it, and instead focus on his next game against the San Francisco 49ers. The 3-3 Niners are fresh off a 28-14 defeat to the Atlanta Falcons, a game where they failed to score in 3 separate quarters. But one thing to note is the absence of their new running back, Christian McCaffrey. His presence against the Chiefs might be something their defense might have to watch out for.

Kansas is on a roll of its own. But with only two losses so far, it seems like Mahomes may just be in a position to get his hands on another Super Bowl ring this year. With so much good already happening in his life, one can’t blame him for having high hopes.
