Since his reinstatement, Calvin Ridley went to Players Tribune to reveal his thoughts over the suspension. He also talked about his gambling issue, calling it his life’s ‘worst mistake,’ and gave details on what was happening to him. Ridley battles depression and anxiety. But his family also went through challenging junctures.

That one night which shook the Ridley family

The Jaguars WR wrote about that one night that left his wife shaken after a robbery at their residence. Calvin Ridley mentioned, “Our front door was kicked in. Police cars everywhere. Our house had been robbed while we were at the game. At first, me and my wife were pretty calm about everything. They took a bunch of jewelry and stuff, but nothing we couldn’t replace. But then we watched the security footage, and we saw about five or six guys come in with guns drawn. If you have a child, that’s your worst nightmare. My wife was traumatized.”

Ridley kept track of the hate he received after the NFL suspended him for wagering six bets in the 2021-22 season. He was respiring the Atlanta air until November when they traded him to the Jaguars.
