It is not often that Pro Football Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe gets guests who openly share their thoughts about the Will Smith-Chris Rock confrontation. The former Broncos tight end was interviewing Sirius XM radio show host and comedian Earthquake. The comedian was trying to present his view of the chronology of events taking place during the Oscars.

During the latest appearance on the Club Shay Shay podcast, Earthquake was not holding back while commenting on Smith’s relationship with Jada Pinkett Smith.

While talking about what should have happened, he states, “Cause that’s what happens when you are in love with that goddamn woman now that s**t don’t matter man. The prime example to what happened to that is what happens when you love a woman that don’t love you and you still trying to validate.

Sharpe asks the comedian about their relationship, and Earthquake wasn’t afraid in saying that there is no love between the pair. He backs his claims while saying that Pinkett Smith should have stopped her husband before he went onto the stage. He believes that her reaction to the incident and her cold attitude to what had transpired confirmed his suspicions.

Sharpe and Earthquake discuss what spurred the Oscar-nominated actor to lose his composure. They believe that Smith’s commitment to his relationship with his wife was a driving force for his actions. Sharpe’s guest believes that there is a certain power in these kinds of relationships, and Smith had to react to preserve his status.

The comedian further adds that Pinkett-Smith has become quite comfortable with Smith’s standards. Earthquake admits that sometimes these relationships can be challenging and exploitative in nature. He believes that Smith will attain the realization soon and ultimately do what’s best for his future.
