The Pat McAfee Show is gearing up for its ESPN debut. Disney’s ownership of ESPN has led to strict standards, which means the show will be aired on tape delay to control any potential profanity. Starting Thursday, September 7, the weekday sports talk show will grace ESPN, ESPN+, and ESPN’s YouTube channel from noon to 3 p.m. ET.

NFL analyst Dov Kleiman took to Twitter to share this news, stating, “The Pat McAfee Show will be aired on tape delay on ESPN to control possible cursing. Disney owns ESPN, so profanity isn’t acceptable. The McAfee Show begins her first ESPN broadcast on noon Thursday. An uncensored version will be aired on YouTube.

This collaboration between ESPN and McAfee is set to deliver the audience an in-depth analysis of the game, and an elevated exposure for the former punter.  Moreover, McAfee will gain access to advanced production setup and a few low-key NFL insights, that are not easily available to the public domain.

McAfee was drafted by the Indianapolis Colts in the seventh round of the 2009 NFL Draft. After spending over eight years in the NFL, he achieved two Pro Bowl appearances, which carved McAfee’s name as a top-tier punter in the NFL books. After his retirement from the NFL in February 2017, McAfee made a smooth transition, trying his luck into the world of sports media.
