This Super Bowl is historic in more ways than one. Two black starting quarterbacks facing off for the Lombardi for the first time in NFL history. And the history book can stay open. Because Travis Kelce and his brother Jason also made league history this past week when they became the first brothers to face each other in a Super Bowl. It’s a first of many this time.

Mother of the two, Donna Kelce, finds herself in a tricky spot. With both sons in the championship, her loyalty is split between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles. However, she found a wisecracker to answer the media questions about who she is supporting. And safe to say, both sons will be happy to hear her answer.

Donna Kelce took the safe way out to avoid family problems

Donna’s choice for the Super Bowl champions this year has been a point of discussion since the Chiefs and Eagles booked their berth. Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes held a formidable Cincinnati Bengals side with a 23-20 win. And older Kelce, Jason and Jalen Hurts blew out the strongest defense of the NFL when they beat the 49ers 31-7.

And understandably, Travis and Jason’s mom went with a simpler offense vs defense argument instead. Travis, a tight-end, and Jason, a center, will both be happy to hear that their mother is rooting for the offense this Super Bowl LVII at State Farm Arena. “Absolutely the offense,” Donna told TODAY in an interview.

Donna’s chances are higher with Patrick Mahomes and Jalen Hurts also on her side. However, the Philly defense is no laughing matter, and they can upset the Kelce household mood on February 12.

Travis Kelce will be happy to hear Jason is not the clear favorite

Philadelphia’s Jason Kelce had an edge over brother Travis over the past few years as the favorite son. And this was because of Jason’s daughters. However, Donna’s neutral stance ahead of the championship game this year will put the younger Kelce at peace.

This is the first time the AFC’s and NFC’s top-seeded teams are facing off for the Lombardi Trophy since the 2017 season. And fans cannot wait for the showdown.

While Travis and Jason shake things up with their QBs and their offense at Kelce Bowl, the Eagles and Chiefs’ defenses will not sit idly by. The Philly defense has a record 70 sacks this season, and the Chiefs’ defensive line is a close second on the sack chart. However, the Eagles D has the edge being the 3rd best this year in yards allowed and 4th in interceptions and turnovers. Moreover, with Patrick Mahomes still recouping from his high ankle sprain, Travis Kelce has to put on a show for the ages to bring his second ring before brother Jason.
