‘Put Him in a Home’ – Tom Brady Plays Down Recent Comments Made by His Dad About the Patriots

Tom Brady is known for his wit and smart mouth, both on and off the football field. The 44-year old quarterback has been vocal about his career ever since leaving the New England Patriots. He ended his 20-year association with the AFC East franchise in 2020 to sign for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The Bucs quarterback courted a lot of controversy since leaving the former, especially concerning his equation with former coach Bill Belichick. The 7-time Super Bowl winner was in the news yet again after the recent comments made by his dad, Thomas Edward Brady Sr.

Tom Brady jokes about putting dad in ‘retirement home’

On Monday’s episode of his Let’s Go! podcast, Tom Brady played down the recent comments made by his father last week. He even joked that it was time for Brady Sr. to be put in a home.

“I’ve actually prepared a statement that I wanted to say, and it’s really all that I have to say on the subject. Comments made by Thomas Edward Brady, a 77-year-old insurance company CEO, who should know better at this point in his life, don’t necessarily reflect the views or positions held by his son, Thomas Edward Patrick Brady, Jr. So furthermore, should Tom Sr. continue to speak out on behalf of his son without the express written consent, Junior reserves the right to eventually put him in a home against his will. That’s all I have to say.”

“He’s the most loving, caring, honest man in the world and without him there’s no way I’d be in the position that I’m in, he’s there to support me, win or lose. He’s been on the field coming off year in, year out. And my biggest supporter,” Brady said on the podcast.
