Geno Smith has stunned the NFL World. The Offensive Player of the Month for October has made a huge impact this season. While many were sceptical of how Russell Wilson’s exit would impact the Seahawks, Smith has stepped up to the role and is currently outperforming Wilson.

But, it’s not just Wilson who is being surpassed. Geno Smith currently has fifteen touchdown passes. This means that on a list consisting of Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, Justin Herbert, Russell Wilson, Kyler Murray and Jalen Hurts, Smith would come out on top with regard to the number of touchdown passes made this far in the season.

Russell Wilson’s woes
Russell Wilson and the Denver Broncos look very weak compared to the Seahawks. The Broncos’ goal was to land the superstar quarterback. Wilson was the redemption they were seeking.
Unfortunately for the Broncos, that did not turn out as planned. While Wilson may be playing through injuries, the Broncos cannot ignore his hefty $380 million contract and their current predicament.

On the other hand, Wilson‘s former team look like playoff contenders with their replacement quarterback in whom not many had faith. Geno Smith is having a staggering season. Smith is ranked fourth on ESPN’s QBR rating. He is behind Tua Tagovailoa, Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen. Russell Wilson is all the way down at twenty-eight.
Things are definitely looking good for the Seahawks. They will take on the Tampa Bay Buccanneers next in Germany. The team will aim to keep their spot atop their division as they take on Tom Brady and the Bucs.
Fans will hope Smith’s successful run continues this season. After all, one can’t help but be happy for the success the former backup quarterback found.
