With the addition of Allen Robinson and transferring Robert Woods to Tennessee, the LA Rams’ wide receiver room has undergone substantial change this offseason. The team’s front management currently seems to be aiming to retain a major contributor; Odell Beckham Jr. in the camp for 2022, as he helped to secure the Lombardi Trophy in their Super Bowl-winning 2021 run.

The Los Angeles Rams lost several significant athletes over free agency, including Odell Beckham Jr. He is among the top stars still unclaimed for the second week in the offseason. However, GM Les Snead made it known that the Rams look intrigued about getting him back in 2022.

Beckham, 29, nearly ripped his ACL on his left knee for the second year running in the 2nd quarter of Los Angeles’ Super Bowl LVI triumph over Bengals. That implies Beckham won’t be eligible until late in the 2022 regular season at the earliest. Even though the athlete is having a major impact on the franchise, his ACL injury makes the situation more complicated.

La Rams to re-hire Odell Beckham Jr?

Given Beckham’s recent knee injury, Snead described the scenario as “difficult” in a video chat addressing Greg Beacham of the Associated Press on Tuesday. OBJ’s rehabilitation from ACL surgery will presumably keep him sidelined well through the start of the 2022 season. He suggests that re-signing him would indeed be equivalent to the receiver’s midway arrival in 2021.

He mentions, “He’s someone that we definitely want back. A little bit more complex situation based on the injury. We envision it being similar but different circumstances to last year. When Odell is ready to play, we’d appreciate him being part of [the Rams].”
