After getting the last-second victory over the Saints on Sunday, the Bucs quarterback Tom Brady looked absolutely jubilant in the post-game press conference. He even made a joke about playing as they drew it. On Thursday night, NFL fans saw another heart-stopping game between the Rams and the Raiders. It was a similar sort of game and the final scoreline would suggest the same.

After the game, the Rams head coach Sean McVay perfectly mimicked Brady’s comment from the previous press conference, which made everyone laugh.

Notably, this game was the debut game for the newly signed QB, Baker Mayfield, and he had an amazing fourth quarter to get his team a much-needed victory after losing 6 back-to-back games.

This made everyone chuckle. The laughing was much louder previously when Brady said the same thing to the reporters after getting a last-second win against the Saints. Safe to assume that, McVay probably saw Brady’s interview and just tried to have some fun with it.

Apart from the scoreline being similar, the Rams game also has pretty similar twists and turns. Certainly, it was a lot to take for Mayfield in his very first game. He looked nervous early in the game. However, he found his rhythm just in the nick of time. Then, Mayfield perfectly mimicked Brady on the field, just like McVay mimicked him off the field, in the press conference.

Notably, the Rams were playing on their home turf at the SoFi Stadium but were down by 3-16 with 3.20 minutes to go in the fourth quarter. At the 3.19-minute mark, Mayfield handed the ball to RB Cam Akers, who had a rushing touchdown under their name. Then, Mayfield threw a miraculous pass to WR Ben Skowronek, who held on to the ball after making an incredible catch.

Later, Mayfield threw another incredible pass to WR Van Jefferson, which resulted in a touchdown. That touchdown tied the score with just 10 seconds remaining on the clock and an extra point gave the Los Angeles side the victory.

The Bucs’ game against the Saints had a similar pattern with Brady throwing a touchdown pass to Rachaad White with 4 seconds left in the game. On the other hand, this win will not help the Rams this season; however, it can certainly give Mayfield much-needed confidence for the next one.
