The Minnesota Vikings are not having the best season for the last couple of years. In 2019 they finished 7-9. The 2021 season is not looking all that promising either. But at least the Vikings fans can “Skol” their glasses for the performance of their wide receiver Justin Jefferson.

In the past four games, the receiver has managed to get prolific yardage. Justin Jefferson has taken over former legendary Minnesota Vikings receivers. In his previous games, Jefferson has bagged 577 yards. Before him, Sidney Rice had the record of getting 553 yards in four games in 2009. Following rice is the legendary Chris Carter in 1999 with 537 yards.
The Vikings are historically known for their raids, and Jefferson is keeping that tradition alive. On Sunday against the Detroit Lions, the wide receiver got 182 receiving yards and a touchdown under his belt. He has currently reached the elite status with 2,609 total career receiving yards. Justin is third with the most receiving yards in the first two seasons. Above him sits Odell Beckham Jr with 2,755 and Randy Moss with 2,726. Jefferson still has five more games left this season. The rookie could own this record by then. When the Vikings drafted Jefferson in 2020, no one thought that he would start making records so soon. The fans assumed that it would take him at least a year or two more to make a significant impact. But the rookie has proved everybody wrong.

It was assumed that Jefferson was on his way to surpassing Randy Moss. Moss was a Vikings receiver in 2003 with 1,500 yards under his belt in a single season. But as we know now, Justin Jefferson not only surpassed Moss, but he also has more receiving yards than any Vikings player ever.
