Justin Tucker is probably one of the greatest kickers in the NFL right now. And during his last game against the New Orleans Saints, he scored his 344th career field goal. But his name is not making the circles of the NFL community for his on-field performances. Rather, it is his off-field antics that have given him newfound fame. His recent trolling of Russell Wilson, and the Saints, has made him something of a celebrity, and a “man of the people”, according to teammate Marlon Humphrey.

Tucker first came into the spotlight during Humphrey’s “victory IG live”, after their win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In the clip, Tucker jokingly said that the QB Lamar Jackson is leading the team in high knees. This came after Russell Wilson claimed he was doing high knees and other working on his legs, while on a plane to London. Naturally, like with most things Wilson does or says, this has become another thing people joke about now.

Tucker’s second stint with his 15 seconds of fame came during another one of Humphrey’s “victory IG live”. This time, after their win over the Saints. When Humphrey panned over to Tucker, and called him, “the man of the people”, Tucker responded in his usual funny-in-a-class-act way.

“Marlon, last time you had me on here, I got myself into a little trouble, alright? Now you’re gonna have me mess around and say something silly like ‘Racks on Racks, Smoking on that Saints’ Pack’. But I don’t wanna say that, I don’t wanna do that. I don’t wanna get myself in trouble again. So, Marlon, I’m just gonna say it was a great win. I’m just happy to be there, you know, support my guys.”
Justin Tucker scores 9 as Baltimore Ravens trounce the Saints 27-13
Justin Tucker had a decent impact in the Ravens‘ win over the Saints on Monday. Although he only made 5 appearances on the field, he kept up his reputation of being the most accurate kicker in the NFL by slotting in all 5 attempts, including 2 field goals at 32 yards and 41 yards. The other 3 attempts came as PATs, which he promptly scored without any trouble.

The Ravens were seemingly on their A-Game as well. Lamar Jackson‘s explosive dual-threat nature was on full display as he ran circles around the Saints’ defense. Even his own teammate stripping him of the ball did not stop him from making a massive pass attempt seconds later.
All the reasons why the Ravens should agree to Jackson’s contract demands are now surfacing, with Jackson’s performance getting better each week. The phrase “Time is Money” fits the Ravens’ dilemma perfectly, and the more they keep waiting, the more it is going to cost them to keep Jackson on the team.
