The second position was occupied by another quarterback, Ryan Tannehill, while Giants DB Leonard Williams secured the third spot. The only remaining quarterback on the list was Jared Goff, shouldering a $30.9 million salary cap burden.

The list also included notable athletes such as Leonard Williams, TJ Watt, Myles Garrett, and Jake Matthews. Additionally, Chiefs’ Chris Jones could be seen at the bottom of the list, carrying a significant burden of $28.2 million.

While it is clear that Mahomes is underpaid in terms of his annual salary, his cap hit has emerged as the highest among all players when compared.

How safe are the Chiefs in terms of the rosters this season?
