The day has finally arrived. Former Colts star Pat McAfee finally revealed that NFL legend Brett Favre came through with his ominous threat. Over the last few weeks, the NFL world has been buzzing. According to reports, Favre filed lawsuits against McAfee and Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe for defamation. And McAfee opened up about his feelings for the NFL legend and his views about the lawsuit.

At the time, Pat McAfee jokingly said that he would see the former Packers QB in court. And now, the time has come. Speaking on the ‘Pat McAfee show,’ the former punter looked far from disappointed when he announced the events that had occurred. Alongside his revelation, McAfee proceeded to do something bizarre. Here’s what happened.

On Monday a surprisingly gleeful McAfree announced, “It’s official, I have been sued by Brett Favre. Here we go.” Despite the seriousness of the situation his co-host added, “The only thing you should be serving on Sundays is the Lord.” After a round of claps and ‘Amens,’ McAfee narrated the sport of how he got served.

One would expect worry or some kind of animosity in the room. On the contrary, McAfee proceeded to speak about a Netflix Docuseries.

He started the bizarre segue by saying, “I’ve learned a lot about these Southern folks. I’ve watched those Murdaugh documentaries on Netflix, and I guess there’s one on HBO Max. I’ll tell you what. Talk about some of the biggest scumbags on Earth.” But, the host quickly indicated that he wasn’t making comparisons to Favre. He added, “I’m not saying anything about anybody in Mississippi. Brett Favre has been surrounded by controversy for the last few months. The comments made by McAfee, among others, are what resulted in them being dragged into their current legal predicament. Pat McAfee has been putting on a brave face in light of being served. At present fans will have to await further updates on the situation which the host will undoubtedly provide.
