Green Bay Packers superstar quarterback Aaron Rodgers and his fiancé ‘The Fault in our Stars’ actress, Shailene Woodley, have recently split up. The news came as a shock to many. However, the breakup happened in amicable terms since both were not happy with it. 

As per In Touch Weekly, multiple sources had a say on the sudden breakup. “While Shailene is supportive of Aaron’s career, he put football first and they were barely spending any time together,” an insider told In Touch. “She felt he neglected their relationship. Neither of them was happy.”

The four-time NFL MVP is known for his exceptional work ethic and incredible balling skills. He is, in fact, one of the most dedicated athletes in the league, and a relationship could be something he finds hard to manage. Moreover, Shailene herself has been a work-driven actress. Unsurprisingly many sources claim their occupied work life to be the primary reason for their split.

Aaron Rodgers kept his engagement a secret until he won his third MVP honors in February 2021. “I got engaged, and I played some of the best football in my career,” the Packers star said in his acceptance speech. Later that month, Shailene opened up about her relationship status with the football player on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

The Divergent actress has backed up the NFL athlete for his football career. She even stood up for Aaron Rodgers during his vaccination status fiasco, back in November 2021. “Literally, you all need to calm the f—k down,” Woodley replied to the disparage faced by the quarterback. 

However, it was a little surprising to see the Packers quarterback completely skip on his fiancé during his 2022 NFL MVP acceptance speech this year. This sparked rumors about the power couple, having a sour relationship. But was it really because of Rodgers focusing too much on football?
