The uncertainty around Watson is ever-growing. There is no guarantee whether he will play in the upcoming season. He is bound to face suspension by the league, but the length of the suspension is presently unclear. As a result, there were talks regarding voiding the Deshaun Watson trade by the Browns.

However, that isn’t the case. According to Cleveland.com’s Mary Kay Cabot, the Browns are “all-in” with Watson. They think the situation will get fixed soon. He would be allowed back on the field.

Deshaun Watson hasn’t played in the NFL for over a year. He has been a regular feature in the ongoing OTAs as he looks to get into his best form ahead of the season. Despite the noise surrounding him, the former Texans quarterback is focused solely on his game on the field.

Browns can face a crisis if the situation of Deshaun Watson doesn’t improve
If the league ultimately decides to suspend Deshaun Watson for a long period, then the Cleveland Browns can find themselves in a crisis. They will be without a good quarterback for the rest of the season. It will be a waste of all the talent they have gathered on their roster.

It is quite certain that Baker Mayfield wouldn’t want to step a foot in the locker room again. He was upset with the way the franchise handled the situation. He is just waiting for the right opportunity to leave the team.

As a result, the Browns need to find a solution quickly. They might need to add another quarterback if Watson gets suspended for the entire season. The outcome now depends on the league authorities. They will be responsible for whatever sanctions they would impose on the new QB1 of the Browns.
