NFL franchise Los Angeles Chargers seem to be building a team ready to win it all in 2022. The team might be shoring up their defenses with Patriots cornerback JC Jackson on a big-money deal. The Chargers have been motivated this offseason, and the blockbuster signing news comes only days after the signing of defensive end Khalil Mack.

According to NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport, Jackson will be signing a 5-year $85 million deal with the Chargers. The deal will see Jackson earn a stunning $28 million in the first year of his contract and $40 million in the next two seasons.

A defensive juggernaut, Jackson teams up with Mack both of whom will be nightmarish for any opposing offense. The trio of Joey Bosa, Khalil Mack, and JC Jackson will push the Chargers to make a deep playoff run.

Jackson is emerging quickly as one of the top players in his position. He went undrafted during the 2018 NFL Draft.
