Will Parker help the Pats’ receiving power?

The Dolphins selected DeVante Parker 14th overall in the 2015 NFL Draft. However, the athlete appeared in only 10 games for the 2021 campaign; catching 40 passes for 515 yards and two scores. Throughout his unavailability, Jaylen Waddle led Miami’s passing offense with 1,015 yards and 104 catches, shattering the rookie record. Moreover, the athlete hasn’t had a campaign with over 1,000 receiving yards since catching 72 catches for 1,202 yards in 2019.

Following their recent trade deal, New England now has nine catchers on their list. However, neither of the existing receivers on the lineup has a stellar background. Parker joins the army that includes Jakobi Meyers, Nelson Agholor, and Kendrick Bourne. He adds strength and playmaking skills to the receiving corps. In an optimistic outcome, he provides a legitimate No. 2-level threat on the outside for quarterback Mac Jones.
