It hasn’t been very long since the Jets Nation found an unwavering supporter in John Lawrence, who saw past the international borders and wholeheartedly supported his favorite franchise. Unfortunately, the Jets superfan passed away last Sunday, after battling cancer for multiple years.

The Jets Nation and the NFL community suffered a great loss today. Though John is no more with us, his undying love and passion for football lives on.

John has posted several photos of him wearing a Jets jersey and even holding a team football. A few months ago, he posted a picture of the team’s flag and added that he was bursting with pride upon receiving it. He further added that he was hoping to represent his favorite team in London after his chemotherapy was over. But sadly, that day never came to pass.

John was very active on his social media throughout his treatment and constantly posted updates on Twitter. There are also some pictures of him on his Instagram page, wearing a Jets jersey and posing for the camera throughout his treatment.

John was constantly in and out of the hospital for the good part of this year. Despite his struggle with health complications, he never stopped cheering for the Jets, the same team that finally had some hope for the upcoming season.

Fans mourn the loss of their compadre
Being a Jets fan isn’t easy. The reputation of this team speaks for itself, as it is still one of the most underachieving teams in the league. But this season, the Jets actually made changes that matter. The team recruited Aaron Rodgers, one of the best quarterbacks in the league, and made severe changes so they can stand a chance to become a top contender for the Super Bowl. The fans, including John Lawrence, were very excited about this season for an excellent reason.
But John’s unfortunate passing has seen a crack in the Jets’ fandom. Many people came forward with thoughts and prayers for John under several social media posts.
