Pop star, Rihanna, is back with yet another marvel releasing her solo single, after six years, for an iconic sequel of the Black Panther. The movie is set to hit the big screens in November this year. Increasing expectations, Rihanna’s Lift Me Up took the internet by storm after getting released on Friday. Meanwhile, fans are curious to know whether she would actually prefer this song to perform at her Super Bowl debut next year.

This song will get featured in the upcoming project of Marvel Studios Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. No doubt fans have already begun praising the star. Director, Ryan Coogler, appreciated Rihanna’s involvement in the project. He claimed that the composition will pay tribute to Chadwick Boseman, who portrayed Black Panther for the studios.

He died of cancer in 2020. Since then, Boseman lived in the hearts of fans. The upcoming sequel of Black Panther will serve the purpose of witnessing the star for the one last time. “Honestly, I think it was Chad. A lot of improbable things needed to happen for it to come through, and Rihanna was very clear that she did that for him,” Coogler said about the star.

“We knew [Rihanna] was at a point in her life as well, where she was focusing on different things – focused on business, motherhood, which is a big theme in our film. We were holding out hope that maybe it could work out and boy did it for this song.” He talked about Rihanna’s sacrifices and her return to the big stage.

The song is co-written by Rihanna herself, along with the Nigerian singer-songwriter, Terms. The beautiful lyrics are expected to lift the spirits, when it gets played on the big screens.

Will Rihanna prefer this song for the Super Bowl?

A few weeks ago, this news thrilled the NFL fans, when they realized Rihanna making her debut in the half-time show of the Super Bowl next year. This was the second  the pop star was invited to the grand stage.

Last time, back in 2018, she rejected the proposal showing support for the former NFL quarterback, Colin Kaepernick, and his movement. But no such hindrances seem to have intercepted her path this time. She announced the news holding a football on her Instagram story.

The 34-year-old, mentioned being nervous but excited about the event while talking to the reporters at TMZ. When asked about her co-stars, the singer remained tight-lipped and didn’t reveal anything about her preparations. No doubt, the expectations are quite high. And it won’t be a surprise, if Rihanna goes for the iconic track because that’s how great the composition is!
