The friendship between Rob Gronkowski and Tom Brady is well-documented in the NFL, with many comparing them to comic book characters Batman and Robin. After the end of the 2022 NFL season, Gronkowski announced his retirement from professional football for the second time. As for Brady, he came out of his retirement and is currently playing in his 23rd NFL season.

As the Bucs were struggling a lot with their form, many experts and fans urged Gronkowski to come out of retirement and help Tom Brady. However, he remained subdued regarding his return to football once again. Now, it seems like some players have personally reached out to Gronkowski for a possible return to the NFL.

According to reports, several Eagles players have reached out to the former Patriots tight end, specifically for the playoff run. Notably, when Gronkowski, also known as Gronk, was in the Patriots with Brady, they had a tremendous rivalry with the Eagles. In the 2018 Super Bowl, the Eagles beat Brady’s Patriots.

Safe to assume, Brady is not a big fan of the Eagles. Hence, it will be interesting to see his reaction if Gronk goes to the Eagles for the playoffs. It is worth noting that ‘The Iggles’ currently have the best record in the NFC. If they win their remaining games, they will certainly become the no.1 overall seed and will get a bye in the first round.

Speaking about Brady, there were lots of rumors about Gronk joining the Bucs once again after Brady’s initial struggle. However, Brady and the Bucs are now doing much better after 2 consecutive wins in the second half of the season. If the Bucs qualify for the playoffs, they might want to address the tight end position.
