December 28, 1975, would become an iconic day for the NFL community after what transpired in the playoffs. In the fleeting moments of the Dallas Cowboys Vs. Minnesota Vikings match, Staubach threw a 50-yard pass to Drew Pearson and somehow beat the Vikings. Upon revisiting the game, it was as if the ball slid down Pearson’s arms on its own accord. Which was a miracle on its own.

Both teams have been known to be rivals since 1970 and to this day, this is one of the most-watched rivalries of all time. At the time, ‘Hail Mary’ wasn’t something that was a part of the playbook. Fortunately, the Cowboys won with a 3-point lead and proceeded to the playoffs leaving the Vikings with a chip on their shoulders.
