It is a fabulous sight when one’s favorite golf star is crushing on the course. The on-lookers are filled with glee when the star of the course birdies three out of their first five holes. The delighted on-looker was Aeneas Williams, the former cornerback for 14 seasons, and the Hall of Fame securer. And the star of the course was Tiger Woods. At the US PGA, the NFL legend cheered for his superstar. However, one of Mr. T’s competitors, Rory McIlroy, did not take the cheers very well.

While Williams visibly rooted for Woods, McIlroy could not have it. He had to ask the St. Louis Rams cornerback to keep it quiet. Taking Williams to one side, he cheekily said, “I love you man, but when I’m getting ready to tee up, I’d be grateful if you can kind of hold it down a little bit!” Looks like McIlroy was getting distracted by all the excitement and praises directed toward Tiger Woods. Woods was dominating the game before it was suspended due to thunderstorms.

Who is Aeneas Williams?

The Phoenix Cardinals drafted the Hall of Fame athlete in the third round, 59th player overall in the year 1991. He established himself as one of the finest defensive backs ever in his reigning eleven-season career. For the first 12 years, he starred as a cornerback then later was moved to safety. He earned Pro Bowls at both positions; eight times as cornerback and once as a safety.

It is always great to see a legend support another legend like Williams supported Tiger Woods. Although McIlroy passed a playful remark, they snapped a selfie together later.
