Russell Wilson Gives The Bottomline From His Trade To The Denver Broncos: “My Goal Is To Play 10 or 12 More Years…Win Three, Four More Super Bowls, That’s The Plan.”

NFL franchise Denver Broncos and their fans are about to enjoy the top-of-the-line Russell Wilson football service with an extended stamp of warranty from his side. The new Broncos quarterback does come with high expectations for his teammates and the city and laid down his ambitions. Wilson was seen by many as the long-awaited QB that the team didn’t have to compete for the Super Bowl.

While addressing the media on Wednesday, during his formal introduction, he was quoted saying, “My goal is to play 10 or 12 more years and hopefully win three, four more Super Bowls, that’s the plan. That’s the mindset. That’s why I came here, to finish my career here and hopefully finish on top as a champion. And do it multiple times.

These are fighting words from a former Super Bowl champion. He hopes to translate his success from Seattle to help Denver in the present.

He always seemed to be keen to move to Denver, while waiving the no-trade clause in his contract last week. The trade was one of the biggest trades in recent NFL history. It sees the Broncos sending two 1st-round draft picks, two 2nd-rounders, and a 5th-rounder pick. Seahawks will also be receiving QB Drew Lock, tight end Noah Fant and defensive end Shelby Harris as the Broncos receive Wilson and a 4th round pick.

The Broncos fans will surely recognize Wilson as someone more of the caliber of former legendary QB Peyton Manning, who was successful with the franchise. Wilson will be donning the No.3 jersey in Denver and taking photos with his family on a special day. He was open in sharing the reasons he believes that they are the right fit for each other.

The 9-time Pro Bowler did reveal the conversations he had with Manning before he decided to move to Denver. The city shares a bond along with Manning, with their new QB, who defeated them during Super Bowl XLVIII when he was a Seahawks player.

But now the Broncos fans will be hoping they are getting the Russell Wilson from those glory years with the same drive to win football games.

Amidst all the Broncos introduction talk, Wilson did thank his former franchise, the Seattle Seahawks, and head coach Pete Carroll. He believes that the Broncos are a winning organization and conversations with the coaching staff helped him reach his decision.
