They still went on to be crowned NFC West Champions last year. However, they suffered a shock 20-30 loss to divisional rivals Los Angeles Rams in the Wild Card Playoffs.

One person who thinks that Dange’Russ’ Wilson is going nowhere this summer is Seahawks outside linebacker, K.J. Wright. The 32-year-old veteran claims Wilson means ‘too much to this city’ and will remain in Seattle when the season starts in September.

He said, “I was kind of caught off-guard myself but looking back at it, Russ isn’t going anywhere. As long as I’m in Seattle, Russ is going to be the quarterback.

“Usually people want to come to Seattle, not leave Seattle. I’m sure that him and the organization will get things figured out.

“He’s somebody that I admire and love playing with, so I expect Russ to be with the Seahawks for a very long time,” Wright said on the NFL Network’s Good Morning Football.

Wright himself is currently negotiating a contract extension with his current employers. It is clear that coach Carroll and the Seahawks management have a busy summer ahead of them.
