Ryan Clark Gives the Brutal Truth on Dallas Cowboys Quarterback Andy Dalton

On Paper, Mike McCarthy’s Dallas Cowboys looked like a top-five NFL team in certain departments. The wide receiver corps. would have certainly made some NFL teams jealous in the build-up to the 2020 season. But one injured Dak Prescott, six games and four losses later, the Cowboys find themselves in a tough spot.

Their recent 10-38 loss to Kyler Murray-led Arizona Cardinals in Week Six at the AT&T Stadium Backup quarterback, Andy Dalton, had a miserable day at the office, as did senior running back Ezekiel Elliott. Dalton threw for 266 yards with one TD against two interceptions.

Ryan Clark calls Dallas Cowboys backup Andy Dalton a ‘Turkey Bacon’

Former Pittsburgh Steelers safety, Ryan Clark. did not hold back in his recent assessment of the Dallas Cowboys. Here’s what he said about the Cowboys’ loss to the Cardinals when he appeared on ESPN’s Get Up hosted by Mike Greenberg.

“When you put bacon on anything, it tastes better….that’s what Dak Prescott was for this team (Dallas Cowboys). This team was terrible, but he was bacon. Do you know what Andy Dalton is? Just like I told y’all he’s turkey bacon.”

“Kinda looks the same, still have some of the same features but you got to cook it different. You can’t put turkey bacon in the pan, you got to do it on the George Foreman because it falls apart, it’s not as crispy,” Clark said during his one-minute rant about all kinds of meat.

The Cowboys have just two wins from six games this season. They will be without star quarterback Dak Prescott until 2021 pre-season starts. He will start rehabilitation on his right ankle in the coming months. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, coach Mike McCarthy, and senior players are all rallying behind their number four.

But in the meantime, coach McCarthy will need to make do with Dalton. The Cowboys play the underperforming Washington Football Team on Sunday. Will Andy Dalton, Ezekiel Elliott, and the rest of the Cowboys find their ‘mojo’ in the coming days?
