The Washington Commanders score their first touchdown of the season! The score came from the Commanders’ fifth-round pick rookie quarterback, Sam Howell. The 22-year-old made history with his inaugural NFL pass, which resulted in a 16-yard touchdown to the All-Pro wide receiver Terry McLaurin.

In the first quarter against the Arizona Cardinals, Washington’s opening drive, led by Howell, ended in a punt despite four successful passes. Tight end Logan Thomas ended up dropping both of Howell’s incompletions.
