Garoppolo only featured in 6 games last year. He finished his 4th-season with San Francisco with 1,096 passing yards and 7 passing TDs.

While referring to Garoppolo’s no-trade clause, Maiocco played down any rumors of a potential trade deal with the Texans.

“Yes, Jimmy Garoppolo has a no-trade clause. He is also due $25.5 million in salary and bonuses. I believe he’ll be the #49ers starter this season.

If that weren’t enough, San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Kendrick Bourne also backed Jimmy G to prove his naysayers wrong in 2021.

We will have to wait and see how HC Kyle Shanahan deals with this unique predicament. One thing that the 49ers can’t afford to do is repeat the same display from 2020.

They need their star names to remain fit and challenge for a divisional championship, at least in the upcoming season. Only time will tell if Jimmy G is the right man to achieve that goal.
