The former Cincinnati Bearcats player will be donning the No.8 jersey in Seattle that was made iconic by the Lakers legend in the NBA. Bryant even took to his official Instagram account to share an image of his No. 8 locker after wearing the No.7 jersey in college. He officially changed his jersey number from 7 to 8 during this year’s College Football Playoffs.

While explaining the change, Bryant states, “I just try to represent him as well as I can. The best way is to put the number 8 on. I took it back to vintage Kobe.”
