Nevertheless, the move also may not mean anything at all. Prior to this past season’s final home game, Wilson said he hoped this would not be his last game with the team. Therefore, it is possible that Wilson might have scrubbed his social media for other reasons. However, the past few off-seasons have shown us that nothing could be predicted with a hundred percent certainty.

Seahawks’ disappointing year with Russell Wilson

Coming to the 2021 season, Wilson missed several games following surgery on his right middle finger. Consequently, the Seahawks’ start to the season was disastrous without their premier quarterback.

Although a quick recovery made his return possible, his team was unable to make it to the postseason. Additionally, the Seahawks finished the 2021 campaign with 7-10 disappointing figures. Furthermore, Wilson could only rack up 3,113 passing yards and 25 touchdowns in the 14 games he played.

Wilson is currently under contract for two more seasons with the Seahawks. Despite cleaning up his Twitter profile, Wilson is still sporting full Seahawks gear in his Instagram profile photo. Therefore, jumping to conclusions would not be advisable. Nevertheless, as the offseason proceeds, we can expect the Seahawks-Wilson drama to take a definitive turn.
