Over the past few days, NFL veterans have shattered the hopes of their devoted fans in the blink of an eye. Shannon Sharpe has been the center of sports talk in the US for the past decade, and he has officially called it quits from co-hosting the ‘Undisputed’ with his trusted colleague, Skip Bayless. There were several picks for replacement of the 3x Super Bowl champ’s seat at the chat show. However, a recent layoff has diverted the NFL world’s attention to a worthy suitor.

Serena Williams‘ former boyfriend, Keyshawn Johnson, has recently become a victim of layoff from his nationally telecast radio show. Only a day after the halt of his morning show, there are several speculations by experts that seem like a silver lining for the former NFL legend.

Skip Bayless might have a suitable co-host, but it comes with a catch

Johnson‘s morning show featured two other co-hosts that include Max Kellerman and Jay Williams. The show was moderately popular among sports fans, however, ESPN‘s severe restructuring of the company has been the potential cause of these changes. There are also several reports that indicate more on-air layoffs in the very near future. However, this hapless news for the former NFL legend seems to have a bright side.

Although none of the hosts from the scrapped show are officially laid off yet, there are numerous rumors about buyouts, which will permit these hosts free agency. And here comes the possibility of Johnson joining the ‘Undisputed‘. Fox News has been looking for a befitting co-host for a while now, and the Super Bowl champ seems to be a perfect choice.
