Tom Pelissero, an American journalist, took to his Instagram account, mentioning Damar in one of his recent posts.
Tom Pelissero wrote, “Damar Hamlin has made the #Bills‘ 53-man roster, per source. Hamlin has been working in camp as a backup safety and special teamer as he continues to make his way back after suffering cardiac arrest on the field in January.”

Recently, Hamlin also expressed his experience of returning to the turf. He said: “I made the choice that I wanted to play, you know, it wasn’t nobody else’s choice but mine. So, when you see my cleats laced up and my helmet and shoulder pads on, there ain’t gonna be no hesitation.” Hamlin gave this statement after Buffalo’s preseason-opening win against Indianapolis.
McDermott declares Hamlin as fit to play

Coach Sean McDermott also commented on the issue, saying, “From my non-medical standpoint, I think he’s checked all the boxes as far as that goes. There’s just been enough of a sample where you’re saying, he’s executed well and come out of that healthy.”
However, Brandon Beane, the general manager of the Buffalo Bills, has commented that the roster could still change. The manager stressed this could happen before the Bills enter the field in this season’s opening game with the New York Jets in September.
