January was a month of absolutely terrifying moments for the fans of the Buffalo Bills. Their safety, Damar Hamlin, had a health scare on the field that had left the NFL world in a state of worry. The 25-year-old footballer had suddenly collapsed on the field, which sent shockwaves of fear around his team regarding his health. But the Bills’ safety has miraculously recovered from the scary incident. And he is gearing up to come back and play in the NFL again in the 2023 season.

Now after 72 hours of meeting with POTUS Joe Biden to discuss his NFL future and steps towards making live saving machines more accessible, Hamlin remembered his scary incident through a social media post.

The Bills’ safety player was at peak physical condition before he collapsed to the ground during a match with the Cincinnati Bengals on January 2. During the game, Hamlin collided with Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins during a tackle. The 25-year-old had stood up for a while after the tackle, but he then collapsed back on the field with a cardiac arrest.

Hamlin took to Twitter to share a tweet saying, “Today marked three months”. It has been three months since the scary incident occurred. When Hamlin collapsed, medical personnel rushed to the spot and started using CPR and a defibrillator to restart his heart. After 10 minutes of spot care, they rushed the player to the hospital, where he received proper medical attention and care. The sudden blow likely caused a cardiac arrest in the player, according to medical experts. But Hamlin has made an outstanding recovery in a short span of time from the incident.

Recently, the player also met with POTUS Joe Biden at the White House. The duo discussed the proposition of making life-saving technologies widely available. Ever since his scary incident, Hamlin has become very vocal about heart-related issues and their treatment.

Last Thursday, the Bills safety and his family had gone to the White House to visit President Joe Biden. During his visit to the White House, Hamlin opened up about his wish to return to play in the NFL again. Apart from this, during his visit to Washington DC, Hamlin urged the politicians to show their support for the Access to AEDs Act. Interestingly, this act will provide grants to schools and educational institutions to provide AED and CPR programs.
