Snoop Dogg is a man of many talents. From being a legendary rapper to running his own football league, Snoop is always up to something. But what many people didn’t know is that Snoop is also a huge fan of hockey. The rapper has been an avid Hockey fan over the years and is amongst the most high-profile celebrities to endorse the sport. 

On his latest appearance on Undisputed with Shannon Sharpe and Skip Bayless, Snoop revealed his plans for one of his biggest ventures yet. He is certainly beyond excited to officially dip his toes into the world of hockey. A venture which will let him truly embrace his passion for the sport of Hockey.

Snoop Dogg reveals details of latest Hockey venture

As Snoop joined Skip and Shannon on Undisputed, he spoke about his plans to join the bidding to purchase the Ottowa Senators of the NHL. He passionately spoke about his love for Hockey on air with legendary football TE Shannon, and it was evident that his passion for the sport runs deep.

“When you at a hockey game it’s different than football. I mean because you, you sitting right there *bop* *Bop* puck come at you, the players hitting the glass. Like it’s oh it’s so exciting. I’m sorry I’m getting carried away but I just love me some hockey man.”

Snoop is a sports fan in general. You’ll find him at Lakers games, or watching Football every now and then, alongside his love for hockey. Although Snoop expressed his passion for hockey, the West Coast legend runs a football league of his own too. This just encapsulates his love for sports, and his desire to give back to his community at the same time. 

The Snoop Youth Football League

The SYFL is a non-profit organization founded to provide the opportunity for inner-city children to participate in youth football and cheer. Although it may read like a promo for the league, the SYFL is an entirely non-profit league, meant to cater to children between the ages of 5-13. The goal? Teaching the kids the value of sportsmanship, teamwork and all things sugar and spice.

Snoop’s passion for football is evident in his work with the SYFL. He has often said that his goal with the league is to provide opportunities for children who may not have access to them otherwise. Snoop believes that sports can be a great equalizer and provide a sense of community for children who may not have one. Because, after all, Snoop’s always been about the people.
