“She Started It”: Years Before Tom Brady’s Divorce, Supermodel Ex-Wife Gisele Bündchen Revisited a ‘Cheap Shot’ Made Over an Avoidable Phone Call

But years before the divorce, she revisited a ‘cheap shot’ she took over a phone call that could have been avoided.

The supermodel once recalled an intense conversation with one of her sisters and regretted that she could have handled things differently.

Gisele Bündchen once had a very fierce phone call with her twin sister Patricia Bündchen which upset her for a long time. Recalling the incident in her memoir, Bündchen said that she doesn’t even remember the details of the matter. All she could remember was that she got really angry and said some harsh words to her best friend in the family. But then, she instantly regretted it.

“I kept thinking what an idiot I was. I love all my sisters. Why had I been so mean? My justification-But Pati was mean to me first! She started it!-suddenly seemed lame. There were so many other, better ways I could have dealt with the situation, like saying, I’m sorry you feel that way about me, or Why don’t we speak again tomorrow? I didn’t need to slam my sister, but I had, and I spent the next day or two incredibly upset,” Bündchen wrote in ‘Lessons: My Path of a Meaningful Life’.

Gisele has called Patricia her best friend while they grew up in Brazil. And a fight with someone that close is bound to have kept her upset. The duo patched things up later and are closer than ever. But the incident taught the supermodel a valuable lesson.

When Gisele Bündchen split up with former Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Tom Brady, it was her twin sister Patricia, who was her pillar of support. According to reports, the supermodel communicated with her sister multiple times a day during the whole proceeding.

Patricia is Gisele’s spokesperson and manager. But above all, both sisters always know what is going on in each other’s life. That is how close the sisters are.
