Tom Brady undersold himself in the latest episode of his ‘Let’s Go’ podcast as an NFL player. Calling himself a “weak kid”, he opened up about his battles with huge guys like Aaron Donald and Ray Lewis.

“The greatest athletes in the world try to hit me. Aaron Donald, who is like a freak….Jason Taylor and I think Dwight Freeney, all these amazing guys, Ray Lewis, I mean these guys are the biggest, strongest guys. Here I was some skinny, weak, you know, kid from San Mateo that found a way. And here I am,” Brady said.

Brady started his career as a sixth-round draft pick in 2000 and played for the New England Patriots for the next two decades. From a weak dude almost no one wanted, he established himself as the GOAT of the game. He won six Super Bowl titles with the Foxborough franchise, the number equal to the most successful teams in the history of the league.

He switched to the Buccaneers in 2020 and won the Super Bowl there too, ending all the debates about the greatest of all time in the league. The “skinny, weak dude from San Mateo” is the face of football, a game said to be only for big dudes.
