Tom Brady is certainly the most competitive quarterback in the NFL, and he does not want to settle for a loss. Especially not in the Super Bowl. However, he lost three times in the biggest game of the season. Nonetheless, his most controversial of them all was against the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Eagles fans erupted against the Patriots star after he reportedly left the field without shaking hands with the winning quarterback Nick Foles after his Super Bowl LII loss. And ever since that day, a question came to every ones’ mind as to why he did so. Was it because he lost? Or maybe something he just forgot to do?

Now as Brady comes face to face with the Eagles for the Wild Card Round this Sunday, NFL writer Rob Maaddi did not miss the chance of asking him about the same. He asked the Bucs star if he was aware of the move of not shaking former Eagles QB Nick Foles’ hand after his loss at that time.

Tom Brady on not shaking hands with Nick Foles

No, I’m not,” Brady said. “I’ve shaken Nick’s hands plenty of times, though. I have a lot of respect for Nick, and I try to be a good sport as best I can. I know it doesn’t always look like that, because sometimes I get a little pissed out there, but for the most part I try to be a good sport.”

Brady diplomatically continued that he thinks that Nick Foles is one “hell of a player” and he finds it hard to come up with a reason why he wouldn’t shake his hands. Furthermore, he pointed out that he had good relations with his other rivals like “Drew and Justin, and Aaron.” Subsequently, he added that he has great admiration for Nick and that “[The Bears] are off to a great start.”

Losing a Super Bowl game is never easy for an athlete to deal with. Especially when one is Tom Brady. He has been through a lot of ups and downs in his career, and that has made him the kind of a player he is today. Brady will host the Eagles this Sunday and he hopes to seal a win against them this time.
