In her best-selling memoir, the supermodel wrote about an important event that took place in her life. In 2017, the runway vixen was asked to give a speech at one of the biggest music festivals in the world, Rock in Rio.

Deeming it a difficult and big responsibility, TB12‘s ex-wife had to gather a lot of courage in order to address a crowd of thousands of people. She found this deed was more difficult than walking down the longest runway of her life in the 2016 Olympics.

In order to prepare for the speech, Bündchen had to build up her confidence and have faith in herself. Even though she felt shy, she did her best to cancel it and talked about loving each other and loving Earth. After the event’s enormous success, she realized it was only through discipline and hard work that she could give a heartfelt speech. But as the year went on, she had to teach herself to be more lenient. “If anything, I remind myself sometimes that I need to relax my own sense of discipline and to be gentler and more compassionate with myself. To some people, I probably might come off as a little obsessive or overly driven. I’m working on it—and becoming a parent has made me much more forgiving with myself.”
