The ticket counters in Germany have been jam-packed. The demand for NFL football is sky high, as more than a million people, 1,219,530 to be exact joined the waiting list for tickets to see the Kansas City Chiefs take on the Miami Dolphins. The resellers are asking for sky-high prices that rival the ones at the Chiefs’ own Arrowhead Stadium. The tickets for the game were a bargain at $82 to $245, but not anymore. The tickets are hard to come by, as Deutsche Bank Park can only fit 42,200 fans. The tickets are like gold dust for NFL lovers in Germany. The sold-out event is not only a win for the NFL but also for Germany, as it is expected to generate a lot of revenue and increase the popularity of American football in Europe.

The game, which was announced on May 10, 2023, as one of two 2023 NFL Germany Games, will be held on Sunday, November 5 at Frankfurt Stadium, the home of Eintracht Frankfurt. Fans are incredibly excited to witness a highly anticipated showdown between the Super Bowl champions and the up-and-coming AFC contenders.

NFL reporter Ari Meirov shed light on the league’s efforts to expand internationally, saying: “They’re making international growth a major point of emphasis. A lot of work being done there behind the scenes.”

One of the disappointed fans who missed out on the tickets was none other than Samantha Quek, the Olympic Gold medalist, and avid Chiefs supporter. She took to Twitter to share her frustration with the long line and the sold-out game: “Last month my fella promised me a weekend in Germany to watch the Chiefs in Frankfurt……only to join the ticketing queue online this morning and find himself with more than 1.4 MILLION people in front of him.”
