In a parallel universe, Tom Brady (the 199th overall pick in the NFL 2020 Draft) would have spent a major portion of his career drifting from one team to another as just another player on the roster. In fact, it would have been surprising to see Brady get any sort of playing time in the NFL. However, that was not the case for the ‘lanky’ kid who arrived in New England back in 2000.

The ‘Comeback Kid’ from California had a plan in mind when he was drafted by the Pats who were starting something new under Bill Belichick and Rober Kraft at the start of the 21st century. Brady did not feature at all in his rookie season in the NFL. However, when starting quarterback Drew Bledsoe was injured in 2001, Brady stepped onto the field for the first time and never left. For the next 20 years, Tom Brady and Bill Belichick led the Patriots to six Super Bowl titles. In 2007, Brady and Co. also managed to go the entire regular NFL season without a single loss. This is something that had never been done before.
