The duo spent a short-period together playing under the tutelage of the New England Patriots coach, Bill Belichick. Brown had 500+ receiving yards and 6 receiving TDs for the Buccaneers as they went on to win the Super Bowl LV title in February 2021. AB was on a 1-year deal and is currently a free agent.

He is reportedly also being pursued by Pete Carroll’s Seattle Seahawks. But a certain sports analyst does not believe Brown will leave his idyllic situation in Tampa Bay.

Will Antonio Brown re-sign for Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2021?

Popular American analyst Stephen A. Smith recently addressed the rumors linking AB to Russell Wilson and the Seahawks. The pair was seen practicing together in 2020 before Brown signed for the Bucs.

But Smith does not believe that Brown will leave his ‘pal’ Tom Brady and the Buccaneers this summer.

He said, Antonio Brown has found happiness, it’s not just about the money it’s not just a tax-free…no state income tax in the state of Florida.

“You know what? The city of Tampa, we get all of that. We want this money but in the end, him being happy that matters.

“And why would you go to a situation like Seattle where Russell Wilson is already complaining about that (and) when you’ve already found utopia in Tampa? Plus you’re a reigning Super Bowl champion,” Smith said on the show.

Brown and Buccaneers’ teammate Leonard Fournette are reportedly close to signing extensions with Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It will be interesting to see if the Bucs can hold on to these two proven stars who were also seen training together earlier this week.

But GM Jason Licht is working on a tight budget. If AB decides to sign somewhere else on a better contract, not many will question that decision. Watch this space for more.
