Colin Kaepernick recently worked out with the Las Vegas Raiders. This was a big step for Kap toward his potential comeback to the NFL. On his show, the FIRST TAKE, famous ESPN Analyst Stephen A Smith talked about the chances of Kapernick getting a chance with the Raiders.

He was candid with his words and said, “Colin Kaepernick deserves a chance to have a legitimate tryout, and to show what he is capable of, I’m 1000% in support of that.” Stephen A certainly is rooting for Kap to get back in the NFL, but he believes that Kap has been out of the NFL for a long time, and this could play a major factor.

Stephen A talked about his earlier workouts and said, “He’s throwing deep balls to wide receivers who have no corners, no safeties defending against them.” Colin certainly didn’t experience a game-like surrounding as there were no defenders. This is a major reason because almost every quarterback can make magnificent plays in an open field.

Stephen A further talked about how his return window has almost already passed. It’s mainly because it’s been six years since he last played in the NFL. Stephen A said, “After 6 years gone from football, we just gone sit up there be like, ‘yea man. He should be in the NFL.’”

How was the workout for Colin Kaepernick with the Las Vegas Raiders?

Colin Kaepernick last played in the NFL in 2017. He was a part of the San Francisco 49ers, and since then he has been out of the league. Despite his multiple attempts to return to the league, he hadn’t found any success.

According to reports, Colin’s workout with the Raiders went pretty well. This was a piece of very positive news for Kap’s fans, as his return to the NFL was looking possible. Colin will be used as a backup quarterback for the Raiders. The starting role is already occupied by Derek Carr.

Kap can certainly be an upgrade for the Raiders at the backup QB position. It isn’t clear yet but there is a high possibility, that after this workout with the Raiders, Kap will be able to get his chance to get back in the league.
