The NFL world was shocked after Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens squandered a lead and lost to the Jacksonville Jaguars by a narrow 28-27 margin. As per usual, upset fans took to Twitter to let out their rage.

But, one fan seems to have picked the wrong day to take a shot at a player. Generally, it’s open season for fans to take shots at players and teams. NFL Twitter often sees chaotic tweets that attack players and their performance. But this user picked the wrong guy to feud with Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson. Jackson did not hold back his savage response.

Lamar Jackson stuns the NFL world with his clap back

The fan tagged the quarterback and said: 

The user received a response from Jackson, and it was far from playful banter. In fact, the quarterback used vulgar language in the tweet and had to take it down a few hours later. Jackson called the user ”boy’‘ and asked him to shut up using not-so-savory language. Jackson’s tweet blew up instantaneously. On one side, the fan’s frustration is understandable. On the other side, Jackson was probably sick of getting incessantly trolled online. But did that warrant the profane response? The Ravens have not made a statement about Jackson’s interaction online.

Fans online reacted to Jackson’s interaction. In usual Twitter fashion, some added fuel to the already burning fire. This user said:

Jackson is aware of the disappointment surrounding their game. The quarterback said that he didn’t know what to tell the media when asked about red zone difficulties. Fans online seem as frustrated as their quarterback.

Jackson has to make it right

Many called for the Ravens to release Jackson. Other chimed in saying that he was one of the best in the league. A one-point difference in a game result is as heartbreaking to the losing team as it is ecstatic for the winners. With this loss, the Ravens are now tied with the Cincinnati Bengals in first place in the AFC North.

They will take on a struggling Denver Broncos in their next bout. The Ravens also have two consecutive games against divisional rivals Steelers and the Browns after their next game. Perhaps victory in their next few games will quell raging fans and give Jackson a chance to prove why he’s one of the best quarterbacks in the league.
