“Stop Embarrassing Your Son”: Angry Over Darren Waller Comparison, Father of Giants TE Gets Exposed by Reporter

As free agency is already underway, many teams are making some blockbuster trades ahead of the 2023 season. Earlier, the Las Vegas Raiders traded their tight end, Darren Waller, to the New York Giants for the 100th overall pick. Notably, this was a big acquisition by the Giants, as they had only Daniel Bellinger to rely on in the last season. Meanwhile, The Athletic reporter, Tim Graham, recently wrote an article comparing Waller’s performance to Bellinger, which got a furious reaction from the 22-year-old TE’s father.
Notably, in his article, Graham mentioned that Bellinger had just 30 catches for 238 yards and 2 TDs last season with the Giants and Waller could match those numbers pretty easily. However, this statement did not go down well with Bellinger’s father, as he sent personal texts to ‘The Athletic’ reporter.

After Graham published the article, Bellinger’s father, Frank, slammed him for comparing rookie Bellinger with veteran Waller. Later, Graham took to Twitter and shared their exchange. During that conversation, Graham said to Frank, “Stop embarrassing your son.“
After a similar exchange, Graham further hit back at senior Bellinger, by saying, “I didn’t say your son was bad. I said Waller was better. If you want to whine about that,, then I suggest you call Joe Schoen. Otherwise, pound sand, daddy.“

Graham also mentioned that Bellinger’s father has been messaging him for four hours regarding this. It is worth noting that Waller was with the Raiders for five years, as put up some solid numbers. Last year, he surprisingly played fewer games than usual. As for Bellinger, the Giants drafted him in the 2022 NFL draft and he had a pretty decent rookie season with the Giants, as they made it to the playoffs.
Safe to say, the young TE has a bright future ahead of him. However, after Waller’s trade, the rookie could see his minutes go down, as most coaches would prefer the more experienced TE than the rookie.
Another calling-out incident happened with a renowned reporter
While Graham faced the wrath of a player’s father, renowned NFL Insider Adam Schefter also faced embarrassment from a renowned quarterback. It is none other than 4-time MVP Aaron Rodgers. In the latest episode of the Pat McAfee show, Rodgers called out Schefter for trying to get information out of him.

Meanwhile, Rodgers also denied all the rumors about him demanding certain players, as he confirmed his intention of going to the Jets. On the other hand, NFL reporters might want to double-check their sources from now on, as they could get called out on social media any time now by the player himself or their dads.
